Direct Power is when the power supply for the Touchscreen Amplifier is plugged directly into the touchscreen. This is usually the case when the touchscreen is mounted on a Deskstand where the power port on the touchscreen is accessible and an AC outlet is nearby.

Dedicated Wiring is when a pair of wires is inserted between the power supply and the Touchscreen Amplifier. This is the case when the Touchscreen Amplifier is installed in a wall and the "home-run" wiring that runs to the Touchscreen Amplifier location includes an extra pair or two of 20-12AWG wires. One extra pair of wires can be used to deliver power to the Touchscreen Amplifier from a centrally located power supply.

CAT5e Power uses the spare wires in the Ethernet data cable to send power to the Touchscreen Amplifier from a central location. An optional component, the Power Coupler (GPC1-1), is required at the central location to combine the data and power signals into the single CAT5e cable that runs to the Touchscreen Amplifier.
